Masa defeated

It is a wise man that does not challenge a seven foot tall man armed with a knife and a fish.

In a comic panic, I needed an idea. So - a strip about someone that can't cook. It's comic gold, it happens over and over in all kinds of comics. But ... who can't cook? Why's he cooking, and why would anyone stick around for it? Ah.



Ideas and thoughts:

Masa's got a mushroom on his fork; I thought he should be eating something, but what? I'd just reread The Wallflower (volume 7) by Tomoko Hayakawa, and Ranmaru cooked these nasty mushrooms Yuki had obtained. It's a nod to Wallflower. It's that subtle.

Masa has what I'm going to call Sasuke-eye-syndrome. The all black, no shine eyes. It was halfly a mistake. I thought eyes that dark shouldn't be glinting in such low light, but he ended up looking much kinder than he actually is.

Marion can blend into the kitchen floor if he wanted to. I just noticed.

To new people: Mandel is 6'4" and he has a fondness for huge platform boots. He's not actually seven feet tall.

I tried the black and white with one other shade approach, and I'm liking it. What say you?
